Custom Foams offers a comprehensive range of materials which have been developed to meet the needs of many industries for sound absorption, sound insulation and acoustically transparent uses.
Applications include: microphone windshields, panel damping, duct lining, anechoic chambers and control of reverberation within production equipment and factory interiors.

Membrane and surface coatings can be added for use in more severe industrial environments to seal the cellular structure of the foam, preventing the ingress of dirt, moisture and oils. These materials are well established in the heating and ventilation, automotive, electronics and hi-fi industries. Products are available which meet the following specifications:
BS476 parts 6 & 7 class "1", resulting in Building Fire Regulations class "O", FMVSS 302, UL 94-HF1, DIN 4102-B1 and NFF 16-101 - French "M1" rating.

Acoustic foam can be designed and colour co-ordinated to match the requirements of the product.
