Custom Foams' range of reticulated polyester and polyether foams is the most comprehensive offered by any supplier in the UK. The carefully controlled uniform cell structure of these materials makes them ideal for filtration applications. The polyester types, which are used predominantly in air filtration applications, are available in FR grades to FMVSS 302 and UL 900 smoke emission standard.

Uses for these materials include pre-filters in air conditioning systems and engine air filters in the automotive industry. The polyether types are ideal for water filtration applications, and other uses where there is an aqueous component such as in coalescing filtration. These foams are already established in the aquatics market for the bio-filtration of pond and fountain water systems and as a filter in water pumps. Research is continuing for uses in the treatment of waste water and in domestic water supplies.
